the importance of regular check ups

We are often asked why contact lens wearers need regular check-ups. As your optician we are legally responsible for the health of your eyes, the minimum requirement for a check-up is 12 months, however this is at our discretion and you may be called after 3 or 6 months, especially if you have extended wear lenses. With more comfortable lenses available nowadays you may not be aware of problems which we can spot.
